Advanced glycation end products (AGEs) are a group of compounds created by nonenzymatic glycation, either internally generated or obtained from external sources. New experimental studies are providing insight into how AGEs may impact both the condition and aging trajectory of human skin. Multiple linear regression analysis indicated a statistically significant positive association between AGEs levels and age (p<0.0001), melanin (p<0.0001), erythema (p=0.0005), and transepidermal water loss (TEWL) (p<0.0001), thus confirming their roles as positive predictors. Despite the positive clinical outcome of tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) therapy in chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), the persistent presence of minimal residual disease within the bone marrow microenvironment remains a significant challenge. Within this microenvironment, stromal cells adopt a pro-inflammatory phenotype, transforming into cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs).
